The collaborative team created the educational programs including the reading aloud instruction for the children outside of school time in the day care center. The program had been offered to the children by the university students. The results of the questionnaire show that the participated children and their parents were pleased with the programs in the day care center. Another survey was conducted in order to evaluate the long-term effects of reading aloud instruction to the elementary school children, and the results suggest that the fourth grade students had more confidence in their ability to present themselves than the other control groups.
