The Tohoku Bunka Gakuen University’s Faculty of Medical Science and Welfare and Department of Nursing began conducting remote lessons in a short preparation period. Several obstacles were faced, including many who teachers did not fully understand how to operate the necessary applications used in online distance learning, and several students did not have internet access in order to participate in distance learning classes. However, distance learning may remain a viable solution in the current situation where a COVID-19 vaccine has not been developed and immunity has not yet been acquired by the public. Therefore, in order to conduct distance learning classes effectively, teachers should be familiar with the necessary computer applications.
